Teaching the fundamentals of screen acting and helping aspiring actors develop a portfolio
6-WEEK FILM & TV ACTING PROGRAM
DC Media Academy is working in collaboration with Manuel Poblete, owner of Bello Talent, to provide aspiring film and TV actors with the necessary knowledge to build a career in the industry. Students will learn the fundamentals of acting on screen and receive training in industrials, spokesperson and voiceover works.

The program covers auditioning, cold reading, memorization, marketing your acting career, improvisation, script analysis, character and voiceover development, and teleprompting and ear prompting using professional equipment. The instructor uses a technique of filming students in class so they can watch the playback and improve in real time. To ensure students get the best experience, we limit the class to 10 students.
During the last few classes, students will take turns taking headshots, filming a screen acting reel, and recording a voice acting reel. At graduation, students will receive digital copies of their high-quality headshots and two demo reels (video file and audio file), as well as a Certificate of Completion. All graduating students will be given the opportunity to create a free Casting Networks® profile linked to Bello Talent Casting Network, through which Bello Talent can start submitting graduates to paid jobs.

PROGRAM BREAKDOWN
We recommend students set aside at least 6 hours/week for this program. This includes 3 hours of class time + at least 3 hours for memorizing lines and rehearsing scenes. In April, acting students have the opportunity to spend 5-10 hours/week to act in our filmmaking students’ short films.
