Our studio headshot service is designed to give you the dynamic, authentic images that casting directors, agents, and managers seek. We understand that a great actor's headshot is not just a picture—it's a tool that showcases your unique personality and communicates your "type" and range. In our collaborative one-hour session, we focus on capturing various expressions and characters, so you walk away with a portfolio of looks that can be used for different roles, from commercial to theatrical. What We Offer Tailored "Looks": We'll work with you to plan wardrobe and styling changes to capture a range of character types. From the "best friend" and "girl-next-door" to the "serious professional" and "edgy villain," we'll help you build a portfolio that shows your full potential. Professional Direction: Our photographer will act as your on-set coach, guiding you through various expressions and emotions. We create a relaxed and fun environment that allows you to be natural and bring your genuine self to the lens. There are no forced smiles or stiff poses—just authentic moments that translate to the screen or stage. Controlled Studio Environment: Our studio provides the perfect setting for a cinematic look. We use professional lighting setups specifically designed for actors, creating sharp, clean images that make your eyes pop and your personality shine. High-Resolution, Retouched Images: You'll receive a curated selection of professionally retouched digital files optimized for online casting platforms (like Actors Access and Casting Networks) and high-quality printing. We focus on natural retouching that enhances your best features without changing your authentic look. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting, we're dedicated to helping you get the headshots that will get you noticed and help you book your next role. After you purchase, you must book your photography session within 30 days.

DC Media Academy Course Cancellation Policy At DC Media Academy, we are committed to providing quality education and a great learning experience. We understand plans can change, so we’ve outlined our cancellation policy to ensure fairness and clarity for all participants. Cancellation by Participants Cancellation Deadline Participants may cancel their enrollment up to 7 days before the course start date to receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 6-1 days before the course start date will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after the 2nd week of classes. Requesting a Cancellation All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Ricardo@washdm.com. Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 7-10 business days. Transfer of Enrollment Participants may transfer their enrollment to a future course or another participant at no additional cost, provided the request is made at least 7 days before the course start date. Cancellation by DC Media Academy Academy-Initiated Cancellations DC Media Academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to low enrollment, unforeseen circumstances, or other valid reasons. In such cases, participants will be notified at least 3 days in advance and offered a full refund or the option to transfer their enrollment to a future course. Whether or Emergency-Related Cancellations In the event of severe weather or emergencies, classes may be postponed. DC Media Academy will communicate any changes as soon as possible and provide rescheduling options. Special Circumstances Participants facing extraordinary situations (e.g., medical emergencies) may request exceptions to the standard cancellation policy. These will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
